Industry recognises high standard of street works at NJUG Awards 2009

December 2nd – The winners of the 2009 NJUG Awards were presented during a prestigious reception held in the House of Commons yesterday, 1st December 2009. The event offered an opportunity for utilities and their contractors to show case high standard case studies demonstrating innovative methods used to improve the efficiency and quality of street works. The winners themselves were congratulated by the Minister for Transport, Rt Hon Sadiq Khan MP, during his keynote speech.

Award Winning North Yorkshire Utilities Present to Street Works Forum

Utilities will be publicising some of the efforts being made to improve the quality of street works at an event in York on the 23rd March organised by the National Joint Utilities Group (NJUG). The event follows an independent survey by ComRes showing that 88 per cent of people in Yorkshire believe providing gas and electricity is more important than reducing congestion on the roads.
